If you are a teenage driver, or if you are the parents of a young driver, then you may have already discovered how much it costs to provide the required auto insurance for most young people. In fact, anybody under 25 gets lumped into a high rate class, and this is because they just do not have enough years of their own driving history. So the company relies on their statistics to tell them what sort of risk the young driver in. And as you have probably already guessed, the statistics are telling the auto insurers that young drivers, especially young men, are more accident prone then their elders.

You can shave a substantial portion of the rate off if you can take a few steps. First, car insurance companies like kids with B averages or better. Approved driver’s education classes also help. And as with anybody’s car insurance, there are discounts for the safest cars to insure, anti-theft devices, and muli-policy discounts.
